WHO ARE WE?

The Local Enterprise Investment Centre (“LEIC” or “the Centre”) has been created in Bangladesh following the commitment made by the Canadian Prime Minister in the United Nations for accelerated development of private sector enterprises. The creation of the Centre has also been included in the International Policy Statement of the Canadian Government.

On the basis of performance, reputation and compatibility, contesting with another 27 organizations, IDLC Finance Limited (“IDLC”) got the opportunity to manage CAN$ 9.5 million as flow-through fund, through LEIC, for the development of local Small and Medium Enterprises (“SMEs”).

The Centre is operating as an independent operational division of IDLC Finance Limited (“IDLC”) with contribution from the Canadian International Development Agency (“CIDA”) and offering professional and financial assistance to local SMEs.
